CBD Supplements
Nordic Oil CBD vitamins have a unique liposomal formula and use cannabidiol (CBD) to boost your wellbeing and health. Our liposomal CBD vitamin formulas help to protect the quality of the contained substances ensuring that the good stuff reaches you, rather than being lost during digestion. The CBD in our vitamins is protected by liposomes to avoid breakdown by the enzymes when passing through the digestive system. At Nordic Oil, we’re driven to provide the highest quality CBD to our customers, and committed to education, awareness and accessibility.
Our ever-expanding product line includes CBD oils, extracts, topicals and skincare, enabling customers to experience the benefits of CBD in the way that best suits their needs.
CBD: The Basics
CBD is short for cannabidiol and is one of the two main cannabinoids in the Cannabis Sativa plant. CBD is a naturally-occurring substance used in oils, topical solutions and edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. CBD will not cause a high.
THC is the second main cannabinoid in the Cannabis Sativa plant and is what causes a high. In the extraction process, the THC is removed from the extract, so all CBD products contain, at most, only trace (<0.2%) amounts of THC.
CBD has become increasingly popular in recent years as people around the world have discovered the many health benefits this natural alternative can have for them.
Terpenes are another naturally-occurring compound found in the Cannabis Sativa plant. They contribute to the unique taste, smell and color and different terpenes can have therapeutic effects.
What are supplements?
Supplements are products intended to supplement our nutritional needs, independent of food. The nutritional requirement for individuals varies depending on gender, age, occupation, metabolism, health conditions, and more.
Supplements can help to bridge the gap and provide essential nutrients in order to correct deficiencies and help the body to remain healthy.
Examples of supplements
Dietary supplements designed for oral consumption come in many easily consumable forms including capsules, tablets, oils, chewables, powders, syrups, bars, and more. Besides dietary supplements, there are also other supplements that are absorbed through distinct routes of administration, in order to supply nutrients for a more specific purpose. Examples are nasal sprays, eye drops, creams, patches, and more.
In general, the role of these supplements is to provide macro, micro, and phytonutrients. Proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, prebiotics, and amino acids all belong to this category.
What are herbal supplements?
Products derived from plants and herbs such as oils, seeds, roots, flowers, and berries are generally called herbal supplements. With CBD there is a range of offerings, whether they are Full Spectrum CBD oil, Broad Spectrum CBD oil or Isolate form. At Nordic Oil, our hemp comes from the organically grown aerial parts of the hemp plant. The culinary and therapeutic significance of herbs in our daily diet is recognized more of late due to developments in products and ample time at home.
Supplements made of herbs that contain vitamins and minerals are available in the form of capsules, oils, extracts, tinctures, concentrates, and liquids.
When should I take vitamins?
The main objective of including supplements in your daily routine may be to fill in the nutritional gap that your regular diet fails to provide. Likewise, people recovering from an injury, health issue, or surgery may need to boost their nutrient intake by incorporating high doses of vitamins and supplementary nutrition.
In order to get the benefits of supplements, they must be effectively absorbed by the body. Digestive processes, for example, could eliminate the nutrients before they are absorbed by the body. It is therefore important to determine the most effective time to take vitamins. Some vitamins work best on an empty stomach, while others are better after a meal.
In general, taking them as directed and recommended on the label of the product is a safe practice. Additionally, consultations with a medical advisor may help to best establish an appropriate routine and dosage for your intake.
Why do we need supplements?
Studies have shown a strong link between food and brain function. This is due to nutrients that help our brain function properly and combat illness. Therefore the benefits of vitamins are widespread and can be both physical and mental.
Some people may be lacking in nutrition due to their lifestyle choice. For example, unhealthy eating habits, unbalanced diet plans, vegan diets, or those who are allergic to certain food groups may miss out on key nutrients. Taking vitamins could therefore be beneficial.
Age and gender are also reasons to incorporate vitamins into your diet. As we age, the rate of absorption slows down and may result in a nutritional imbalance. There are also differences in nutritional requirements for men and women.
Finally, due to increased use of harmful chemicals and pesticides in plants, the quality of food has been affected. These chemicals cause damage to our immune system. Intake of additional vitamins and minerals helps to reduce this damage and to support and strengthen our immune system.
Which supplement is right for me?
The health market today is flooded with options for quick fixes to your health. Choosing the right product can be an overwhelming process. Being informed on clinical trials for various substances such as pills or diet mixes may be the safest route to regaining a connection to the body.
When it comes to taking vitamins, adopting a personalized approach could provide the most benefits. Evidence of the potential effectiveness of CBD, or any other vitamin is best measured when consistency is applied to your routine. It might help to map out your current lifestyle habits and daily activities. This may aid in analyzing your dietary needs, and clarify any influences caused by specific problems or injuries.
Remember to include known deficiencies, especially those related to your skin, sleeping troubles, allergies, immunity, hair health, appetite, energy levels, and bone health. You might want to add more to the list if required. With this information clearly defined it will become easier to set your health goals.
Are CBD Supplements safe?
There are many e-commerce brands that promote and sell CBD products. As consumers, it’s important to take time to research, establish trust and ask the necessary questions about product quality. Many CBD brands take shortcuts with their products and are not necessarily safe. You are always best purchasing CBD from companies who can prove that their products go through third party laboratory testing, who have a TDS (Technical Data Sheet) for their products and who have an ISO22000 certification.
At Nordic Oil, we have all of the above. We pride ourselves on delivering only the highest quality CBD to our customers. Whether it’s oils or pastes, capsules or topicals, you can guarantee that all of our products have gone through the very best production methods.
All of our CBD products go through intensive testing to guarantee their quality. We work with experts across Europe who thoroughly review the content of our products alongside our in-house quality assurance team. The certificates of analysis for our products are available to be downloaded online and all of our CBD products meet all US regulations and are regularly tested.
Our customer support team is always on hand to answer any questions you might have about CBD safety.
Is the entourage effect the same as feeling high?
The entourage effect has nothing to do with feeling high. The entourage effect is optimised by the naturally occurring products found in the cannabis plant working together, but THC, which causes the “high” feeling, is always removed during the highly sensitive extraction process, so all CBD products made from the hemp plant contain at most only trace amounts of THC.
Side effects of taking CBD
Very few adverse side effects have been reported from consuming CBD. Your ideal dose of CBD may look different from another person, as all people's Endocannabinoid system is different. However, on a case to case basis, individual review and assessment are helpful to guide a dose best suited for you. In rare cases, you may experience dry mouth, mood changes, or drowsiness.
Again, these reactions tend to vary based on age, metabolism, lifestyle, prevailing health conditions and ongoing prescribed medications. For people suffering from long term health conditions, we recommend speaking to a medical professional about incorporating CBD into your wellness routine.
An overdose of vitamins on a case-to-case basis may cause nausea, diarrhea, or stomach cramps. In such a situation, stop taking the product immediately, and consult your physician. CBD products should not be consumed by pregnant or nursing women. Research is still ongoing in this field and there are as yet no conclusive studies.
