This method is particularly common. The absorption of cannabidiol through the oral mucosa using CBD oil is simple and effective.
Shake the closed bottle briefly so that the CBD extract and carrier oil mix evenly.
Use the dropper to place the desired amount of drops under your tongue.
Give your oral mucosa 1-2 minutes to absorb the CBD from the oil.
Then swallow the oil.
After use, clean the screw cap with a kitchen towel to avoid an oily bottle and stains (for instructions ).
If you are trying CBD oil for the first time, start with one drop of 5% CBD oil per day for the first week, regardless of your body weight. If you tolerate the oil well, you can gradually increase the daily number of drops every week. Follow the table. Depending on body weight, the weekly increase in dosage may be faster. If you take more than 5 drops per day, you can spread the intake over the day (example: 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening). See the guide CBD for Beginners for more information.
You weigh 176 lbs, so the 170 lbs column is closest to your weight. Your weekly schedule is now in this column. "Week 1" says 1 x 5%, which means you'll only take one drop of 5% oil per day for the entire first week. It doesn't really matter what time of day this happens. Over the next week, increase the daily dosage to 3 drops of 5% CBD oil per day. You can spread these out throughout the day or take them all at once. If you feel comfortable with the effects, then stick with this dosage in the future. Otherwise, continue to increase weekly as outlined in the schedule until the dose is right for you.
This schedule is designed to help you find the perfect dosage for your personal needs. Once you find a dosage that you are comfortable with, there is no need to increase it any further.

Do you already know that you tolerate CBD oil well and have you already had positive experiences? Or do you have the feeling that the 5% CBD drops are not enough for you? Then you can try a higher concentration, such as 15% or 20% CBD oil. Find the row with the body weight closest to yours in the table below. Then follow the weekly dosing guide until you reach the optimal amount.
If you follow the plan, you don't necessarily have to use both a 15% oil and a 20% oil. You can convert the number of drops with the factor 0.75 or 1.33.

Because the active ingredient is vaporized, it can be absorbed through the lungs more quickly than with the other methods. The application is very simple. However, e-cigarettes are not for everyone.
Shaking for a few seconds ensures an evenly concentrated CBD liquid.
Fill your e-cigarette with CBD liquid instead of conventional liquid. You can also mix.
Inhale as usual and hold for up to 5 seconds before exhaling.
Store the CBD liquid in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
We recommend liquid with a CBD content of 3% to 5%. The dosage is very precise when vaping, since a single puff contains relatively little cannabidiol in contrast to a drop of CBD oil. So whether you use 3% or 5% doesn't make much of a difference as long as you adjust the number of moves.
With CBD Liquid, the cannabidiol gets into the blood faster, but the effect also wears off faster. This also affects the dosage. In general, it is recommended to use CBD Liquid as needed. If CBD helps you through stressful situations, you can use an e-cigarette. Nevertheless, the same principle applies as with CBD oil. If you are a beginner, take the time to get your body used to it. Also pay particular attention to physical reactions that could indicate an intolerance.
1ml CBD Liquid 5% contains 50mg CBD and lasts for 100-200 puffs. So youβre consuming 0.25-0.5 mg of CBD per puff. 4 puffs are the equivalent of one drop of CBD Oil 5%. So do not take more than four puffs of 5% CBD liquid in the first few days of the habituation phase. Then use it as needed.
Stress, migraine attacks, anxiety attacks, cramps and acute symptoms
The use of paste is more for advanced CBD users. CBD pastes are particularly highly concentrated and the applicator allows for more precise dosing.
Twist the screw applicator halfway (180 degrees) to dispense 0.1ml of paste. This corresponds to 50mg CBD for the 50% paste. A full turn gives 0.2ml, i.e. 100mg of CBD.
Put the paste on your gums with your finger.
Wait 1-2 minutes for most of the cannabidiol to be absorbed.
Then swallow the rest of the paste.
CBD paste is mainly for people who have a very high need for CBD. It is particularly highly concentrated and can reach a CBD content of 50%. This makes it difficult to find the right dosage for beginners. So if you haven't had any experience with cannabidiol, it's better to start with a CBD oil. However, if you think you need a daily amount of CBD in excess of 100mg per day, a paste will do.
Severe chronic pain and inflammation
CBD crystals are pure crystalline cannabidiol. It can be used in a variety of ways. You can use the crystals either pure or dissolved in liquid.
CBD crystals can also be added to products. This is how a day cream can be turned into a CBD cream by enriching it with CBD crystals. You can also produce your own CBD liquids or CBD oils in this way. To make CBD oil yourself, simply mix the desired amount of CBD crystals with an edible oil (e.g. hemp seed oil).
This pure CBD product is absolutely free of THC. The use of crystals is also suitable for allergy sufferers who react to certain components in CBD oil.
Crystals are a very special CBD product because they are an isolate, i.e. almost pure cannabidiol. On the one hand, it makes dosing easier - after all, the amount of milligrams of CBD you want to take per day corresponds to the amount of milligrams of CBD crystals. On the other hand, the dosage of such a highly concentrated substance is not easy and you should be careful when handling it. If you plan to mix the CBD crystals into a cream, stick to this formula: A face cream should contain a maximum of 200mg CBD per 100ml. CBD crystals contain no other cannabinoids such as CBG, CBN or THC and therefore do not offer an entourage effect (like full-spectrum CBD oil).
Dosing the crystals is not easy. It is best to use an accurate scale that indicates the weight in milligrams.
Making your own CBD products by blending
The use of capsules should be familiar to most people. Swallow a capsule followed by some water - done! Capsules are particularly popular as a tasteless alternative to oil or because of the uncomplicated dosage.
Only capsules or softgels with a liposomal active formula enable efficient absorption through the stomach. If the cannabidiol is not protected by liposomes and transported through the gastric mucosa, part of the CBD will be excreted unused.
Start with one capsule per day (6.4mg of CBD) and gradually increase to up to three per day. If necessary, use the stronger capsules with 16 mg CBD each.
More about the effects of cannabidiol in our guide "CBD effect".
Problems falling asleep and staying asleep are just symptoms that can have a variety of causes. The causes range from stress and nocturnal rumination to serious mental and physical illnesses. So there is no single correct CBD dosage for sleeping. From experience it can be deduced that a low starting dosage (e.g. 2-5 mg CBD per day) together with a gradual increase works best.
CBD binds to the CB1 receptor in the brain, which in turn affects the control of anxiety, pain and nausea, among others. The processes are very complex and there is therefore no perfect dosage for anxiety. However, with the step-up method described above, over time you can find out what you feel most comfortable with.
There is no uniform dosage recommendation for CBD for depression, since everyone reacts very individually to the intake. Please note that interactions cannot be ruled out if CBD and antidepressants are taken at the same time. In any case, ask your doctor beforehand.
Pain is a signal from the body that something is wrong. The triggers are varied and the extent of the pain ranges from annoying to almost unbearable. Chronic pain also occurs again and again, sometimes in combination with inflammation. In this case, it may make sense to start with a higher dose of CBD product and then gradually adjust it (see CBD oil dosage for advanced users).
The perceived intensity of pain is mapped on this one-dimensional scale from 0 (no pain) to 10 (worst pain). People who suffer from chronic inflammation are often able to assess their own pain score and plan their day accordingly. When it comes to the CBD dosage, a 5% CBD oil is often sufficient for mild pain (1-3). Up to a value of 6, we recommend a concentration of 15%-20% with an appropriate daily dose. In addition, it can make sense to use a high-proof product with a CBD content of 30% or more.
Value | 1-3 | 3-6 | 7+ |
---|---|---|---|
Concentration | 5%-10% | 15%-20% | 30%+ |
In the survey period between April 5th and 15th, 2019, a survey published by "Statista" in the United States examined how often respondents used CBD oil or products containing CBD. 1,269 respondents over the age of 18 responded in a panel survey.
65 percent of those surveyed said they had never taken CBD oil. Another 8 percent did not want to provide any information about the consumption of CBD oil. That leaves 343 respondents who provided information about how often they use CBD oil.
Interestingly, the majority of this group (30%) use CBD oil very rarely and infrequently, less than once a month. On the other hand, daily CBD users have the second largest share at 22%.
The majority of CBD users take CBD oil every week (52% overall). Within this group, ingestion is most common daily; among sporadic users, on the other hand, it occurs less than once a month.
Because the CBD dosage of oil, capsules, liquid and much more is very individual, there are many questions on the subject. Some questions cannot be answered in general, but others can. We have collected the most frequently asked questions.
Read more about CBD (cannabidiol) hereLeave CBD oil in your mouth for at least 60 seconds before swallowing. The oral mucosa usually needs 1-2 minutes until most of the CBD has been absorbed. This waiting time is independent of the CBD dosage.
Yes, you can take CBD daily. In fact, we recommend that you take CBD every day to get your body used to it and keep your CBD levels the same.
If you are just starting out with CBD oil, we recommend taking one CBD drop (5%) per day for the first week. One drop corresponds to about 2 mg CBD. You can also take this amount of cannabidiol with CBD Liquid. Through this adjustment phase, you will notice how your body reacts to CBD.
It depends. For a newcomer, 10mg per day is quite a lot. However, once you have gotten used to it, there are no objections to 10mg cannabidiol. In the end, what matters is how you feel about it.
If you take too much CBD, the body cannot use everything optimally and excretes excess cannabidiol. Excessive CBD dosage can lead to diarrhea or nausea.
If you overdo it when taking CBD, vomiting and diarrhea as well as loss of appetite are possible in severe cases. So be sure to follow the dosage recommendations.
No, so far no such case is known. The combination with medication can be potentially dangerous in the case of serious illnesses. In such cases, talk to your doctor beforehand and do not take CBD at the same time as your medicine. Basically, CBD is harmless and therefore legally available.
