4 ways to take CBD

how to take CBD

There are plenty of things to take into consideration when it comes to taking CBD, especially if you haven’t used it before.

For CBD newcomers and beginners in particular, it can seem like a bit of a minefield which is why we’ve put together a short guide on the four main ways you can take your CBD.

Sublingual intake CBD

Sublingual administration is one of the most effective ways of taking CBD. As you might derive from the word itself, you place the product under your tongue (“sub” = under, “lingua” = tongue), leave it there for up to 120 seconds, and then swallow the rest.

This method is particularly effective as CBD can be absorbed immediately through the oral mucous membrane. Then, it only takes 15-30 minutes for the CBD to get exactly where it is needed and the effective can last up to 4-6 hours depending on factors including metabolism and the severeness of any ailments.

Taking CBD sublingually can be particularly suitable for people who are looking for almost immediate positive effects, but prefer not to vape (more on that later).

Our bestselling 5%, 15% and 20% CBD Oils are best administered sublingually. You can put 1-3 drops of your preferred strength under your tongue and let it sit for up to 2 minutes before swallowing the rest.

It’s best to avoid eating and drinking for at least 5 minutes afterwards so the remaining CBD can be fully absorbed.

And for our experienced users in Europe and people who need a higher concentration of CBD, our CBD pastes in 30%, 40% and 50% are the perfect solution. Just place a small amount of paste between your lower lip and your gums, leave it there for about 60 seconds and swallow the rest.

Oral intake CBD

Oral administration refers to any kind of administration that passes through the digestive system, so anything that is taken through the mouth and swallowed.

This way of taking CBD is convenient, perfect for on-the-go and makes dosing itself a lot easier, especially for beginners.

Unlike sublingual administration, oral administration usually means that it takes a bit longer for the CBD to be processed. Generally, you should expect it to take 1-2 hours until the CBD is absorbed, depending on how much you have eaten before.

Especially for people that are sensitive to different tastes, CBD capsules are a great alternative!
Our capsules come in either 10mg or 25mg of CBD each, which makes them suitable for beginners and experts alike.

Topical intake CBD

Topical application describes the process of directly applying a product onto the targeted area. Whether you suffer from joint and muscle pain, have inflamed skin or a specific skin condition, the right topical CBD product can help.

By applying a CBD infused gel or cream, the CBD can penetrate directly into the skin to help nourish, treat and care for the skin cells. Yes, you got us right! Our creams Eyr, Freyja and Valkyrie have been approved as medical devices in Europe to treat psoriasis, eczema and acne.

Our creams come in handy bottles of 50ml with 100mg CBD each.

Inhalation intake CBD

Inhalation is probably the fastest way to get your daily dose of CBD. By vaping CBD E-liquids the CBD makes its way directly into the lungs – it gets absorbed into your bloodstream, without going through the liver, where substances are often broken down.

Especially for customers who need immediate relief, inhalation is a great alternative to other methods of administration.

Our CBD E-liquids in Europe come in fresh and fruity tastes, are 100% free of THC and perfect for on the go. Each bottle of 10ml contains 3% of CBD.

For all those you prefer not to use E-liquids, we also offer a nasal spray that you can use throughout the day. Our nose spray contains 10ml with 50mg of CBD.
